Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to learn about the programmes of Al Mabarrah International Charitable Association, donate to them and ask the Association for help, including people with disabilities and older people. This statement explains what the website provides for this, and what we know still needs work.
1. Our commitment
We work to make the website conform to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), and we review it with every major update.
2. What the website provides
- Accessibility panel from the "Accessibility" button in the top bar: three levels of larger text, a high-contrast mode, underlined links, and stopping motion. The website remembers your choices.
- Keyboard navigation in menus, forms and windows, with a clear focus indicator.
- Screen readers: buttons and icons have readable names, images have alternative text, and search results and the number of items in the donation basket are announced.
- Reduced motion: the website respects the reduced motion setting on your device, so automatic animations stop.
- Colour contrast: the website's text is designed to meet the required contrast ratio.
- Touch target sizes: buttons and controls have suitable touch areas on mobile phones.
3. Known limitations
- The English version of the website is incomplete, and we are working to complete it.
- Some files published by other parties, such as reports in PDF format, may not be fully prepared for screen readers.
- The payment page is provided by the bank and is subject to the service provider's standards.
4. If you have difficulty
If you are unable to access information or to complete a donation or an application, tell us the page and what you encountered. We will help you in the way that suits you, and fix the problem on the website.
- E-mail: info@almabarrah.ae, and write "Accessibility" in the subject line.
